Today’s love story on How We Met teaches us about the right timings. Here it goes:
It is indeed true when they say that the distance makes the heart grow fonder. And the miles only become numbers, which can’t change the relationship that you hold with another person.
Bhavita Bais and Abhilash were childhood classmates. They were not only classmates but very good friends too, that was until fifth grade, when her father got relocated and she had to leave the city and her friends.
The new city and new school meant a new life for her. She had to start everything from scratch. She got so busy catching up on life that soon she lost touch with her old friends, including Abhilash.
Years went by and one day while she was going through her Facebook, she received a friend request from an old friend. A thousand memories rushed through her mind. She felt a sudden rush of energy as the golden memories crossed her mind and she cringed at the memory of the day when she left it all behind – her school, her house, her best friend… Abhilash.
She had a sudden urge to talk to Abhilash and fortunately, she found him in the friend list of one of her old friends. They started talking, and then the preliminary greetings changed into small talks, which ultimately became long intense conversations.
He encouraged her to achieve her dreams and complimented her like she was his muse. He became her first and last thought of the day.
From her childhood classmate, he became her friend, then the fate separated them and they became strangers. Then, destiny intertwined them again and they realized that they were meant for each other. On one beautiful day, when the sky was clear and the wind was blowing, he bent down on his knee and proposed to her.
“I promise you that the next time when i kneel on my knees would be for our daughter to tie her shoelace.”
His proposal melted her heart and they have been together ever since.
The person that you love may be right in front of your eyes or a thousands miles away at the end of another country. It just doesn’t matter. Someone can put a smile across your face from only a foot beside you or a 100 meters away!
