Whenever someone hears the word Pakistan, the first thing that comes to their mind is terrorism and extremism. It’s sad that the world is still unaware of this South-Asian country’s mesmerizing sceneries.
Tania Imran, a 20-year-old girl from Pakistan, just unveiled the beautiful side of Pakistan to the world with an iPhone in her hand. Tania traveled to several breathtaking places with her mom and came back with enough to show the world how prepossessing her country is.
Cambiar News got in touch with Tania and she shared a beautiful story with us.
Starting off with a bit about the girl herself; Tania is from Islamabad and is doing her undergrad from NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology). She will be starting her junior year in September, this year.
She has a passion for photography, which is why she chose to embark on a trip that was organized by Discover Pakistan. Since her mother was keen to travel and explore the beauty that Pakistan has to offer, Tania decided to take her along with her.
Tania told us that it was a short, six day trip. She started her journey with her beloved mom and the first place they visited was Rama Valley. The crystal blue sky was so tempting that she took out her phone and took some jaw-dropping images of the beautiful landscape.
Their next stop was Deosai – a place blessed with everything including fresh water, cloudy sky and beautiful plains. She spent the night there to feel the love and serenity of the nature under the open sky.
These adorable yellow camps were home to Tania and her mom. It was her first camping experience and she shared that everyone who wants to go camping MUST take a pillow and blanket with them.
Then Tania left for Skardu, there, she explored the Upper and Lower Kachura, and both the places were simply awe-inspiring!
The above image of Lower Kachura Lake makes her mother wonder whether it is a postcard. As you can see, the place is just ahh-mazing!
The image you see below is from Upper Kachura and this is Tania’s favorite lake. The mountains surrounded by the lake are something you will surely fall in love with.
After Skardu, she left for Shigar Valley. There, Tania experienced the splendor of a cold desert and also visited the Shigar fort.
The picture above was taken on her way to Shigar Valley. The below picture is from the amazing Shigar fort, where Tania can be seen wearing the traditional cap of the region.
From Shigar Valley, she left for Chillas and spent a night there. She told us that Chillas is a barren land and it’s pretty dry. Not many people are fond of this place, but when she was on her way back to Islamabad, the dry land turned bearable with clouds and rain.
So this was the incredible journey of a Pakistani girl, who took beautiful images of the breathtaking places in Pakistan.
According to Tania, photography runs in her blood; her father and her sister are somewhat experts when it comes to taking photos. And so the picturesque sights forced her to grab her iPhone and take pictures of the stunning landscapes.
Tania admitted that she never thought such places existed in Pakistan. She added that the conventional media of Pakistan portrays the negative side of the country which ends up ruining Pakistan’s image as a whole.
She now wants everyone out there in the world to see, know and acknowledge her country’s beauty. After viewing these captivating pictures, Tania hopes that people will start adding Pakistan to their travel bucket list.
