Pillowtalk singer Zayn Malik is still not over his anxiety issues. Zayn was due to perform in Dubai on October 7, but he has cancelled his show revealing that he is still recovering from anxiety. He has apologized to all his fans for not entertaining them with his performance on the set date.
Zayn revealed about his anxiety issues for the first time, back in June, during the Capital Summertime Ball. He had to miss the show minutes before arriving at the hall because of his anxiety. He then took to his Instagram account and shared a long message apologizing to his fans for not appearing on stage.
Zayn Malik apologized to his fans in Dubai by saying: “I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performances.I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October.”
While the CEO of event organizers in Dubai, Thomas Ovesen was quite understanding of the star’s situation. He told Zayn’s fans that, “Whilst disappointed not to be hosting the planned Oct 7 Dubai concert, we appreciate Zayn’s honest apologies and wish him all the best for the future.”
He added: “We will be looking forward to sharing more of Zayn’s plans with his Middle East fans when we have such information and will now get the ticket refund process started. See you all at our other events at the Autism Rocks Arena.”
Zayn has been coping with his anxiety and mentioned that he has a habit of doubting himself. He told that he is thankful to his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who was there with him in his difficult time. She has helped him in getting over his fears.
In an interview with Elle magazine in July, Zayn Malik said: “I just don’t have it in me to feel fully secure in anything I do. I always strive towards something better. It’s why I sometimes come across the wrong way – a bit distant. I’m stressed out trying to control how I’m perceived. I think about things a lot.”
